SOVA HINTS: Impressionism

Impressionism is when the idea or the 'impression' or 'feeling' that is portrayed is more important than the real image.  Most impressionists starts with a real idea or form but try to show their impression of that using colour, brushstrokes and tones.

Monet is one of the great masters of impressionism with his romantic hazy scenes of water lilies.
